In the early 50-s of the XX century, the brilliant aviator and adventurer Remy de Haenen opened this house to invite here his «star» friends. Greta Garbo, the Rothschilds, and the Rockefellers were among his regular guests. In 1995 the hotel was purchased by the Matthews Family. They kept not only the original informal and friendly family atmosphere unchanged, but also opened their own art gallery, expanded the hotel and added a lot of first-class modern amenities.
Each Villa is decorated in its own style, and the interiors are complemented with bright art-works and a variety of carefully selected books.
Each room features air conditioning, LCD TV, internet access, telephone, mini-bar, safe, toiletries, and a hairdryer.
