Sanctuary Olonana opened its doors in 1999.
The hotel is located near the river, in the South-West of Kenya, on the border of the National Maasai Mara game reserve.
The rooms are decorated in colonial style,in warm shades of light beige hues, and look like spacious awnings-tents of canvas, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay, with private verandas overlooking the Mara River.
Each room has a toilet and a bathroom with a shower cubicle and a sink.
The restaurant is located in a separate cottage and offers traditional African cuisine. In good weather Breakfast and lunch is served under the open sky.
Upon the guests’ request picnics can be organized on the banks of the Mara River or in the forest on the territory of the reserve.
The hotel's bar serves the best wines and cocktails.
The hotel features a pool that is set in the shade of exotic trees; a lovely living room with a fireplace and a library; transfers by plane from the airport.
The hotel organizes jeep safaris with professional guides. Hiking excursions with local guides allow you to get acquainted with the wildlife of Africa. In the immediate vicinity there is Enkaang village, where you can observe the life of the Masai tribe, traditional dancing, ceremonies and rituals, and purchase traditional African Souvenirs.
