The Majlis Resort opened its doors for the guests in 2009.

The appearance and design of the resort’s interiors combine Italian style and Swahili. Local Dhow sails have been used in the decoration as canvases for its bright paintings, which are now hanging on the white walls of the Central living room next to the works of a myriad of foreign and local artists, masters of colorful Swahilii. A unique mixture of East African, Arab and Indian cultural influences is feeling in the interiors.
