Mombo Camp opened its doors under the management of Wilderness Safaris company in 1990.
The Little Mombo camp was opened in 2000.
Mombo Camp is located on the Mombo Island, in the Okavango Delta, in the Northern part of Moremi Park that is famous for its picturesque landscapes and is considered to be one of the best in Africa places for Safari.
In close proximity to the tent you can meet wild animals, buffaloes, wildebeest, elephants, black and white rhinos, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, lions and leopards right under the terraces and footpaths.
Mombo Camp has 9 comfortable tents, located on terraces, at the height of two meters from the ground, allowing you to enjoy the picturesque valley directly from the rooms.
A wooden platform leads from the Lodge to the little Mombo camp, designed to accommodate small groups. It features a private dining area with a kitchen, living room, pool and three tents for the guests, like the rooms in the main Lodge.
Each room has fans, toiletries, chargers for batteries.
High wooden platforms connect the tents and lead to the center of the complex, on the verandas with thatched roofs of which there is a dining area, a bar, an outdoor «Boma» courtyard for a traditional African dinner around a large campfire, a store, Laundry, library; nearby there is also gym, Spa and swimming pools.
Mombo & Little Mombo Camp is 15-minutes drive from the airstrip with regular flights from Maun and 30 minutes flight from the Maun Airport.
