The Iguazu falls are a complex of 275 beautiful compositions of free-falling water on the border of the Argentinian and Brazilian national parks, included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1984 and 1986, respectively. In 2011, according to the results of the world competition, the waterfalls were recognized as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Most of the waterfalls (about 80%) are concentrated on the territory of Argentina, which allows you to get to the waterfalls as close as possible and feel all their strength and power at arm's distance. From the Brazilian part, you can admire the waterfalls from the side, here is the best view of the «Devil's Throat» (Garganta del Diablo) - a U-shaped cliff 150 meters wide and 700 meters long, which marks the border between Brazil and Argentina and is considered to be the largest waterfall from all existing here. Geologists agree that the «Devil's Throat» was formed at the place where the bottom of the river fell, leaving a steep cliff, from which cascades of stunning beauty water are flowing today. To complete the picture, we recommend to visit both sides – the Brazilian and the Argentinian ones.
