Ngorongoro Crater Lodge was founded in 1934 as a hunting Lodge for the British government.
The Tanzanian-Suite hotel is located near the southern border of the crater of the extinct Ngorongoro volcano area.
The Lodge was built in massai style and at the same time, it is a very rich and luxurious in its design.
Each Suite has large glass window-walls to enjoy breathtaking views out across the crater.
Outside the Bungalows are like huts of the natives – stone walls, the roofs of banana leaves. But inside there is a real luxury: antiques, crystal chandeliers, Persian carpets, huge mirrors, vases with fresh flowers. All rooms, decorated in colonial style, equipped with built-in bathrooms, illuminated by candles that give the interior, made in ruby, gold and silver colors, a special atmosphere of magic and abundance.
Each Bungalow has its own Butler.
The hotel operates on an all-inclusive system. Each camp features its own dining room and a terrace to observe the animals. The restaurant serves pan-African cuisine. Guests can dine under the stars or in the dining room. The camp fire is made before the dinner.
The hotel offers to the guests a pool, library, souvenir shop, business centre, laundry, babysitting services on request, medical assistance, organization of wedding celebrations and excursions as well.
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge organizes safaris both individual and group ones. Also it offer tours in the Maasai village, visits to Olduvai Gorge, to Magadi Lodge, famous for its thousands of Flamingo and dinner at the edge of the Ngorongoro crater.
