Five-star Lake Manyara Tree Lodge Hotel opened its doors in 2002.
Unusual Lodge is located in one of the most interesting parts of Tanzania - the national Park of Manyara lake, on the North of the country.
Ten bungalows, raised above the ground on high stilts, are hiding in the dense crowns of trees.
The interiors are decorated in light tones, fabrics of natural cotton and linen, decorated with local wood species.
Each cottage has a bedroom, a bathroom, an outdoor shower, a phone, large panoramic windows and veranda overlooking the forest, a scenic lake and nature reserve with its unique inhabitants.
Lodge offers personal Butler services.
The restaurant, bar and lounge as well in the open air «Boma» are decorated in African style. It serves dishes of pan-African cuisine, prepared in the open roaster and stone ovens.
There is also available room service, poolside breakfasts and picnics on the lake.
This small, intimate hotel also features a boutique/gallery of local art and car Parking.
It offers various types of safaris, bird watching, visits to Maasai villages and other activities. Fish-rich waters of Manyara Lake attract flocks of pelicans and flamingos. There are lions in the forest, and one can find baboons in the coastal thickets. Among the other park’s inhabitants there are giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, hippos, porcupines. Guests are able not only to have some walks and an exciting Safari around the reserve accompanied by a guide, but also to observe rare African animals from the their rooms’ verandas or from the restaurant’s terrace.
