Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge opened its doors in 1992.
The Lodge is located on the highest point of the local crater of an extinct volcano and is the only hotel along the Eastern side of the crater.
The building was built in the style of an African house with a conical roof and decorated with examples of the rich palette of African art styles with rich carvings and sculptures. Architecture and design is an amazing mixture of styles and lifestyles — ancient African and colonial ones. Only natural materials, stunning chandeliers, rare works of art, used in the interiors, – all these create an indescribable atmosphere.
